COVID-19 is still an ongoing issue for the region and our club. Continue to follow CDC guidelines along with NY Health Department Guidelines.

If you are sick please stay home. If you suspect you have COVID-19 you are encouraged to seek treatment and to get tested. If you do test positive and have been to the club or had contact with club members while you've likely been infected, please let an officer know so we may make the membership aware of the possible contact. Your anonymity will be preserved in any membership communication.

Club weekly evening activities have started and member access to and use of the facilities has been preserved throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.

Meetings: We will be attempting to hold meetings outdoors at the club moving forward. If an outdoor meeting is not possible due to weather, we will conduct the meetings online via Zoom.

Flight school: Pre-flight workshop has been conducted and flight training will commence May 28th. Use of a buddy box system is required with students that are likely to need instructor takeover during a flight. Due to the need to be in relatively close proximity for extended periods of time, students and instructors are required to wear masks while at the flight line conducting a training flight.

Food and drinks: At the May meeting the policy of the club not providing food or drinks was renewed. However in the last few days information from federal health authorities has indicated that the spread of the disease via common touch surfaces is far less likely than previously thought. As a result we will start stocking the refrigerator with drinks for sale. Please use hand sanitizer before opening the refrigerator. And please wipe down the handle and door with santizing spray from time to time (particularly during weekly evening events). We will not start up food cooking and sales until we have had a chance to discuss and vote on it at the June club meeting.

Mask wearing and physical distancing:
